Download 3.55 OFW (official firmware)

Download geohot’s jailbreak
Ensure your current PS3 firmware is version 3.55 — if not, update to it, then proceed
Get bsdiff installed — you need “bspatch” from that;
Patch 3.55 OFW with Wutangrza’s patch (from a terminal or command prompt)

bspatch PS3UPDAT.PUP CFW.PUP Wutangrza-3.55.patch

PS3UPDAT.PUP = 3.55 OFW
CFW.PUP = to-be patched firmware update (it’ll be generated for you)
Wutangrza-3.55.patch = Wutangrza’s patch file
Copy and rename CFW.PUP to a USB storage device:/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP
Flash this patched PUP from the XMB or Recovery Menu
Copy geohot’s jailbreak PUP to the same USB device overwriting the previous PS3UPDAT.PUP
Flash it from the XMB — you’re now fresh out the clink with peek/poke LV2 patches

There’ve been no brick reports, I don’t think… And no backup managers work right now. One (probably a few managers) will follow. The developer of multiMAN, deank, he’s real close. We’ll keep ya posted. In the meantime these hombrews install and work.

Update: kmeaw releases their “LV2 pkg.” Here’s the deal: Get Wutangrza’s Chttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifFW and geohot’s jailbreak installed and working. Install this pkg and run it — run it before you start using whatever Backup Manager (may I suggest multiMAN). This package dynamically patches LV2 adding the appropriate syscalls; the patch stays resident until your PS3 is powered off.

Update: Here is Wutangrza’s patched PUP for anyone having difficulties patching it themselves (or if you’re lazy).

Now, here's the changelog:

* Speed selected for umd/iso was not properly locked in some new games that used scePower_EBD177D6 instead of scePowerSetClockFrequency to change speed.
* UMD/ISO speed settings now apply to PSN games too.
* Fixed libupdown.prx connecting to dark-alex.org instead of sony when npsignin_plugin checks for a new version and m33 update is enabled.
* Iso file descriptor was not closed in driver deletion
* Added a shutdown command to vshmenu.

Dark Alex Custom Firmware M33-4.01 + 1.5 Addon (Phat Only) !!!

Hier nun die Aktuellste Version von Dark Alexś Custom Firmware.
* Extract the archive. * Copy included UPDATE folder to X:/PSP/GAME
* Place the official firmware 4.01 update EBOOT, named as 401.PBP, in the newly created UPDATE folder
* Begin installation from the Game menu.

Das Addon für den 1.5 Kernel wird nachgereicht könnte sein das es heute Nacht noch kommt oder ansonsten Morgen.

Dark AleX has updated his site again, releasing version 2 of the 1.50 kernel addon for the Sony PlayStation Portable Fat. This update currently works with your PSPs with CFW 3.90 M33. Here's the changelog for Dark AleX' 1.50 kernel addon version 2:

* TA086: when being in 4th brightness level and recovering from sleep mode, the display was black. Fixed.
* Added support in the 1.50 kernel for memory sticks greater than 4 GB. (I finally got my 8GB card! :D) Before, only the first 4 GB portion was recognized by the 1.5 kernel. Now, the theroetical limit is 4GB*512 = 2 Terabytes. ("only" 1 TB, if sony were using signed variables).

To install this update, just copy to /PSP/GAME and then run. Enjoy!

Easy 1.50 Kernel Addon für CFW 3.80 !!!

So nun ist wieder alles gut, denn jetzt läuft wieder alles wie gewohnt Super und stabil einfach genial.
Die Wake up on Lan Funktion mit der PS3 funktioniert auch super also ich habe bis jetzt noch keine Mängel gefunden. Für alle die den 1.50 Kernel haben wollen hier ist ein easy Installer dafür und WICHTIG DAS IST NUR FÜR FAT PSP´S !!!!!!

Endlich ist sie da CFW M33-3.80 + update 2 !!!

So nach langem warten freuen sich jetzt natürlich alle über den neuen Release von Dark_Alex seiner neuen Version der Custom Firmware M33-3.80. Mir geht es genau so bin schon mal gespannt was diesmal für neue Spielereien mit dabei sind, eines wurde ja schon mal angedeutet das mann in Zukunft die Updates evtl. direkt über die Netzwerk Update Schnittstelle der PSP machesn kann lassen wir uns überraschen !! Nun darauf hat sicher schon der ein oder andere gewartet und jetzt da Sony offiziell bestätigt hat das Skype kommt schiesst das Team N00bz den Vogel ab und bringt noch was viel geileres raus !!!

Sony Custom Theme Converter 1.2 für PSP firmware 3.80

Hier also der frische Release des Custom Theme Converters für die Firmware 3.80, da ja ein Icon für Internet radio in der neuen Firmware hinzugefügt wurde denke ich nicht das frühere Themes kompatibel sind.Für alle die den Custom Theme Creator möchten hier der Download.

3.71 M33-4 released, includes new multi-disc Popsloader+Bugfix Release popsloader

Nun ist es kein Problem mehr die Multi Disc Games der PSX mit der PSP zu spielen, dank Dar_Alex ist jetzt auch Multi Disc Support vorhanden. Desweiteren gehen auch die PSX Games jetzt mit Custom Firmware die ihr euch aus dem PSN-Store runtergeladen habt.
* Bugfix: Games without compression had sound issues when using 3.72 pops. Fixed.
* Added support for multidisc px games created with popstation_md.
o Note: multi disc games will only work in 3.71 and 3.72 pops. Previous pops will exit to the xmb with generic error 0x80000004 when attempting to run multidisc games.

Da es nicht allzu große veränderungen gibt und sich diese hauptsächlich auf den popsloader beziehen gibt es keine CFW 3.72 vorläufig.
Für alle die eine PS3 zuhause haben und sich ärgern da Sie gerne mit dem Wake on Lan Feature spielen wollen, sollten mal versuchen die Dateien vsh/module/premo_plugin.prx and vsh/resource/premo_plugin.rco zu tauschen einige haben berichtet es sollte gehen.

So hier nun nach langem warten die 3.71 Custom Firmware bis jetzt allerdings noch ohne 1.5 Kernel Support wird aber demnächst nachgereicht. So und wer hätte das gedacht Dark_Alex ist M-33 na ja nicht unbedingt eine Überraschung für mich. Was noch wichtig ist man kann nur von der Custom Firmware M33-3.52-3 oder 4 aus updaten auf M33-3.71.
